This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women who make Extra Care the amazing charity it is. Without their dedication and hardwork, Extra Care would find it difficult to maintain the high standards set for it by our founders in 1935. Women contribute to the life of the charity in everything from frontline care for service users and administrative work, to the continued input of trustees like Dame Joan Harbison, Kerri Bradley, Una Macauley and Cathy Dixon.
These women inspire us to put our best foot forward. Each day brings renewed commitment and a passion to work for a cause which is close to the heart. International Women’s Day also reminds us of the opportunity we have to care for the women who have spent their lives caring for us. Whether their needs are physical or psychological, we aim to provide an excellent standard of care across the board for all our Service Users.
